Have
you ever stopped right before doing something that you always have wanted to do
just because you thought you would mess it up , or have you ever wanted so bad
to tell somebody something but didn’t cause you thought that it wouldn’t be
worthy , or have you ever thought about yourself as a loser and all the bad
things always happen to you only !?!?! If any of these question’s answer is yes,
then you are at the right blog my dear. Hi, today I am here to
provide you the magical Aabraa kaa Daabraa mantra to be a
winner or at least not to be a loser.
But prior to that let’s find out what is that force that stops you always to do
whatever you want to do. Now you will tell that a voice is there which always
pulls you down or push you back. So, what’s that voice, who is that voice? And
the answer is Self-Talk and it’s your own voice only. And there is nothing to
be worried about because Each of us has a set of messages that play over and
over in our minds. This internal dialogue, or personal commentary, frames
our reactions to life and its circumstances.
Our ability to engage in activities we may find challenging is affected by our
Self-Talk. Self-Talk is our mind’s way of protecting us from physical or
emotional risk. Now you must be thinking if it is so then what’s so wrong about
it, but no my dear friend, because what Self-Talk often does is inhibit us from
taking risks. Much like a database, our minds (which is our brain actually)
keep track of things that happen to us and use those events as benchmarks when
assessing new stimuli.
Self-Talk
consists of the words that pass through our mind where some of them are
voluntary and some are semi-voluntary. But most of the time we are not aware of
it because we have become so accustomed to it. However, if we can learn to
manage our Self-Talk, we can turn it into a tool to optimize our effectiveness
or you can say make ourselves limitless.
And it’s
the time to get the magic mantra. It’s very simple, I am telling you how:
Managing Self-Talk is all about letting go of negative
judgements and challenging our automatic or reflex reactions. So, these are the
3 magical steps:
Step 1: Pause and reflect - resist the temptation of reacting
without thinking. Consider the facts of the incident, event or challenge, not
your Self-Talk surrounding it. Remove all the emotions attached to that
Self-Talk.
Step 2: Challenge your beliefs and assumptions - After removing
yourself from an emotional response, refocus your thinking. Challenge yourself
and your assumptions in order to see the situation from a different perspective
and find out different reasons to beat that Self-Talk.
Step 3: Choose your response - once you have considered your
options, choose your response. You may still behave the way you normally would
have had you not stopped to consider the facts and alternatives. But by pausing
for reflection before consciously choosing your response, you present yourself
with new possibilities.
So, the mantra is Stop-Challenge-Choose. I hope you start using
this from now onwards till you become the winner. Till then allow me to put
full a stop to my today’s blog and let me prepare some more magic mantras for
you people. Who knows next time I might come back with a mantra which can make
you fly.... haha just kidding but hey...you never know ...!!! ;)
